Marie makes large and small scale abstract art quilts with intense colors and texture. They have intricate threadwork and surface design. A variety of dyed, painted, and printed commercial fabrics and a variety of decorative threads are used in her work. Marie hand dyes much of the fabric herself using Shibori dyeing, discharge and over dyeing techniques.
