Do Palma came to art quilt making after several other careers. Following a childhood in Venezuela and graduation from Pomona College, she taught elementary school. She then received a graduate degree in city planning, and was employed as a planner in both the public and private sectors. Subsequently, she worked as a lobbyist on behalf of the statewide arts community and the League of Women Voters.
Still active in the community in both community development and service areas, Do makes art quilts and nurtures growing interests in printmaking and photography. She has presented several one-woman shows and her quilts have been juried into numerous exhibits nationwide.
