Art Strings

Art Strings began in 1999 when a group of women artists from Colorado and Wyoming gathered for shared criticism and encouragement. From its inception, the group's members have worked together to support each other to push the envelope of innovation and creativity within the fiber arts medium. The group's dynamism is achieved, in part, from the Artists' widely diverse backgrounds. The result is an intriguing variety of styles, techniques and subject matter: individual pieces may be narrative or abstract, whimsical or political, appealing or disturbing. For the last decade, members have been exhibiting their work independently in juried shows across the nation and, in 2000, the group began mounting exhibits consisting entirely of works by Art Strings members.
